Clinically grounded
Programs begin with the unmet needs and biological signals observed in real patients.
TEx Immunetics is translating the biology of immune dysfunction into prognostic diagnostics and host-directed therapies for difficult bone and joint infections.
A host-response company
The host immune state can shape whether treatment succeeds, whether infection persists, and which patients need a different path. TEx Immunetics was built to make that biology clinically actionable.
Programs begin with the unmet needs and biological signals observed in real patients.
Human immunology and rigorous models connect each biomarker or intervention to function.
Diagnostics and therapeutics advance through milestone-driven clinical and industry collaborations.
One biological thesis. Multiple paths to impact.
The TEX platform is being developed to combine preoperative serum immune-checkpoint signals with clinical variables and identify patients at elevated risk of poor outcome after surgery for prosthetic joint infection.
“Measure host immune failure before surgery to support more informed treatment decisions.”
Retrospective international PJI cohorts
Prospective patient cohorts and one-year outcomes
An interpretable assay and clinical-risk platform
Research-stage program. Not approved for clinical use.
From observation to intervention
The clinical problem
A preoperative serum biomarker classified one-year outcomes in a 52-patient pilot cohort drawn from 18 centers.
Immune checkpoint blockade reduced infection burden and adverse bone reaction in a humanized mouse study.
Preliminary research findings. The diagnostic and therapeutic programs are investigational and are not approved for clinical use.
